The truth is, this is popular because the main people behind it all had actual talent. It was raw and they learned a lot, but the odds of this many people who had the ability being willing to commit like this is lightning in a bottle.

I would love to see a Blu Ray release for 1994s The Chase. Its dvd release is out of print and are $40+ when you can find them. No streaming and the only thing I can find on RUclips isnt in English. Its your standard dumb 90s TV background noise movie, but it has its charm like Airheads and Tommy Boy.

I totally second Gymkata! That came out right at the height of my martial arts days (and still in high school), AND I had the mullet! Plus, the soundtrack had one of the coolest 80's song by the guitarist from Duran-Duran. I was, and still am, a metal-head, but I dug that song...now I'm going to have to go find it...after finishing this vid... 😁

Rented Blood Beach on VHS and just now it just occurred to me that they probably got the idea from something that I only have known about for a few years. The Bobbit worm is a sea creature that buries its long body in the sand with its jaws exposed and when a fish swims by it grabs them and pulls them under the sand.

I hid behind my big brother's couch, when he watched that with some friends. After 20 minutes they caught me and threw me out of the room. Still was enough to keep me sleeping only with the lights on for weeks.
